Irony in Indiana

I find it very ironic that the people who are always going on about pro-life and family values and God's will, are always the same people who resort to violence when they don't get their way.

This is a perfect example.

But I really liked this statement:

"I think what happens in the privacy of your own home should remain private and should not be legislated by any constitutional amendments," said Carol Rafferty, who supports gay marriage.

Rafferty's been in a lesbian relationship for 14 years.

She says bigotry should not be a part of the constitution, which she believes this is about human rights.

"It was founded to protect people not to discriminate and I do believe this is a discrimination," said Rafferty. "I have hope it's going to be defeated."

How about that? Reason, intelligence, and calm statement of opinion. From a lesbian! Who'da thunk it?? But these are the same people who are going to tear the fabric of our society if they're allowed to marry. Huh. Interesting...
